Birmingham School of Photography
Weekend Workshop
on Photoshop for the
Absolute Beginner

This
weekend course is for anyone that has images, digital or traditional, and
wants to improve their appearance and impact, but has no idea how to even
take the first step towards this goal. Photoshop is the world's most popular
and effective photo
editing software in use today. This will be a step-by-step course in the
basics of PhotoShop. We will go over uploading, resizing, retouching,
getting rid of red eye, removing glare from glasses, selective hand tinting
on an image, altering from a color to black and white image, sepia toning,
filter applications, color and contrast correction, how to correct
backgrounds and change them, how to make collages, how to straighten crooked images, and much more. The small size of this class will allow the
instructor to assist students individually in their images.
Prerequisite:
No knowledge of computers or digital
